I’m Lou, from The Redwood Florist . I work in my home studio in the beautiful Yarra Valley, where I’m inspired by the beauty that surrounds me. In the early years I worked under Victoria Whitelaw, giving me the footing I needed to turn my passion into skill.
Every bride is beautifully unique, and I believe it’s important that my work reflects that. I want each bouquet to capture the personality and love story of the bride, using florals that celebrate her personal sense of style. My personal, in-depth consultations are designed to capture you and your special day, and then lots of time and effort goes into crafting the perfect bouquet.

I pride myself on sourcing high quality flowers and foliage. Each bouquet is lovingly made with florals hand-selected by me, from all my local suppliers. I pour lots of energy into picking the perfect florals for you. I want each bouquet to match the style and colour of your wedding, and pay close attention to detail.
I pride myself on being environmentally friendly. Wherever possible I avoid using floral foam. I have invested time and money to learn new techniques which allow me the freedom to create floral pieces without any harm coming to the environment.
I continue to invest in my skills, aiming to stay one step ahead of industry trends by involving myself in industry events, workshops and training.
